Jason Respilieux and Frank Gizycki together with Romina Lischka and the Hathor Consort take Bach's music to the very edge of intimacy. From the Intimate, they explore the movement of infinity that characterises Bach's final - and unfinished - work. Somehow the notion that something which is very close to us is also connected with the infinite, really echoes a lot with the music. In between a concert and a dance, they create a contrast between both : enlightening the musical structures by laying bare an emotional line and create a counterpoint to the music, not a parallel.
This one shot performance combining Bach's epic oeuvre with dance reveals the immense richness of our bodies and our humanity.
